Last day of high tide in Mumbai

Mumbai, July 25: As Mumbai witnessed tallest sea waves in past two days, it is the third and last day of high tide today.

The BMC was on its toe for the past two days but all went well for the civic body and Mumbaikars.

The BMC has fully prepared itself for the flooding caused by high tide. Mumbaikers are also praying that Saturday’s high tide will also pass without wreaking any havoc.

On Friday, the tinsel city had witnessed tallest sea waves of the century. Mumbai witnessed a 5.05 metre high tide, but fortunately heavy rains did not coincide with the tide.

Meanwhile, BMC is taking precautionary measure to evacuate people from low-lying areas.

According to Met department forecast, the high tide will hit the Mumbai at around 2.43 pm and waves will be 4.95 metres high.
