Hyderabad, January 3: Security forces anticipate large scale insurgence in the aftermath of January 6 but they don’t have prior knowledge as to the forms of violence and its target, owing to that intelligence agencies are very much worried.
In the wake of Srikrishna committees report on separate Telangana issue coming to the fore on January 6 and consultation meet called by Union Home minister, large scale violence is feared in the Telangana region.
Even as state government has made elaborate security arrangements to meet any insurgency and has called central para-military forces, intelligence agencies fear that either Telangana or Seemandhra regions will witness riots as committee report is brought to the public. They think that uprising is more likely to be in Telangana.
However intelligence agencies have not got a hint as to what will be the action plan of political parties, Telangana organizations including student unions.
It is being tried to create fear psychosis among citizens by security forces march-past in various areas besides heavy forces are deployed in areas which witnessed violent incidents in the past. Apart from that intelligence team is keeping an eagle on student leaders and leaders of various organizations.
Intelligence agencies see TRS as a major threat as its network is spread all over Telangana.
In addition to that fear of circumstances taking communal turn cannot be overruled.
