Mumbai, July 09: The incessant spotlight on Lara Dutta’s love life seems to have taken its toll. The sex kitten has taken off on a three-month ‘break’ from Mumbai. Pretty much following in the footsteps of Preity Zinta who dashed off to the US to lick her wounds following her break-up with Ness Wadia.
“There are times when one needs a break and it’s not always because you need to switch off from work. Yes, I am off from India for about 80 days. But I won’t be taking off from work. I will be shooting,” says Lara.
Though her friends say that she will be flying off to an undisclosed location after her outdoor schedule, Lara refuses to let that secret out.
“I will be taking some time off after the shooting but I can’t tell you about my plans now. All I can say is that it was a planned trip,” she adds, rather mysteriously.
If her recent break-up with Dino Morea was not enough, the rumour mills were abuzz about her new-found fondness for Mahesh Bhupathi.
“I am not seeing anybody. And neither do I plan to see anybody. I am a single, working woman and plan to remain that way. I guess that explains things for you,” she asserts. “I don’t have time for love, neither am I longing to be in love.”

Lara is planning to be a part of a ‘mid-day meal scheme’ supported by Iskon where under-previledged children will be provided with lunch if they come to school. Lara will be soon seeking donations from corporates to help raise funds that seeks to minimise school drop-outs amongst economically weaker sections.
