Pudukottai (Tamil Nadu): The Sri Lankan Navy detained as many as four Indian fishermen from Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu along with their boats on Tuesday morning.
On July 7, they had apprehended 16 Indian fishermen along with three boats.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to intervene and secure immediate release of the Tamil fishermen and their fishing boats apprehended by the Lankan Navy.
