Land sought for MANUU at Tandur

Maulana Azad National Urdu University is in the process to expand its network in the newly formed Telangana State, which has been a hub of Urdu in the past. There are so many places in the state with considerable Urdu speaking population. Urdu public and their representatives are also showing keen interest in this regard. Muslim Welfare Association an NGO working for the betterment and upliftment of Muslim minority in Tandur town, has offered to persuade the state Govt. for allocation of 10 Acre land to MANUU. This could facilitate in starting various technical and vocational courses.

According to Mr. Khursheed Hussain, if the University follows it up, Association will persuade the state Government for land allocation. Urdu University already runs three Polytechnics Colleges and Three Industrial Training Institutes in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Darbhanga. Muslim Welfare Association Office Bearers have also requested MANUU to start Model School and D.Ed. Course exclusive for girls.
