Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced Dasara Festival bonanza for journalists in the city by offering them land sites in about 25 days.
At a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here the chief minister said that all the journalists (Print, Electronic media) will get land sites. If possible the government will give land to the scribes at a single place, he declared. The Chief Minister said that the government will make an announcement in 20 to 25 days in this regard and increase welfare fund for the scribes. Greeting the scribes on the occasion of Dasara, KCR said that the Supreme Court has cleared the related case of giving land sites to them. Leaders of Journalist Unions have already made a visit to two to three places and the land is ready, he said.
On the chief minister’s announcement, journalists and journalists unions have expressed happiness. The scribes also extended thanks to the chief minister on the occasion.(NSS)
