The Ibrahimpatnam police today arrested three persons, including a social worker who indulged in creating of forged and fabricated documents on the ‘Boodan’ land allotted to APIIC for development of hardware park by the government.
Based on a complaint from one Jahangeer Pasha, a polce team led by Sub-Inspector Kanakaiah, who is investigating the case, apprehended three persons — 50-year-old social worker Amruthamma, agricultirist Polemoni Krishna and a businessman Mekala Mukara Rajagopal– at Singareni Colony in the city while two others, also involved in the case, absconded, police said in a release here.
A case has been registered under various sections including 417, 420, 468, 471 IPC on August 9 this year against the accused including Amruthamma(50), Shanker Naik (60), a businessman, A Balaji (45), a businessman (all from Hyderabad city), Mekala Kumara Rajagopal (63),(Kadapa district), Polemoni Krishna(40) of Mahabubnagar district. The land Adibatla Village of Ibrahimpatnam Mandal measured 20 acrs 17 guntas and pertains to ‘Boodan’ land.
The Boodan land was allotted to APIIC in the year 2006 for development of hardware park by the Speical Deputy Collector, Land Acquisition, Shamshabad. The accused, who having knowledge over the boodan land, created forged and fabricated documents made 100 yards plots and sold away to poor laborers, residing in slum area of Hyderabad by collecting Rs. 50,000 each. Aproximately Rs. 50,00,000 amount was collected.
