Hazrath Siddi Amber Shah Miyan was a very pious Muslim saint who propagated Islam three hundred years.
Amberpet area was named after this saint. His tomb is situated on a 900 Sq yard terrace built out of beautiful stones. Adjacent to his Dargah, a liquour shop of Gudamba is operating which is a gross violation of Excise rules. Miscreants sit on the terrace of the Dargah and start consuming liquour. Some of them urinate near the Dargah which spoils the surroundings of the Dargah.
The excise inspector is responsible for all these irregularities. If this situation continues it may cause law and order problem in future. The surrounding land is registered as a Wakf property under S. No. 58 of Wakf Gazette dt. 17-6-1962. The land admeasuring 2,161 Sq. yards is likely to be encroached by land grabbers. Local residents are trying to protect this land.
