Telangana Government will come up with an innovative Land Acquisition Policy in one month to construct buildings and take up developmental works in the State, R &B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has said. He directed the officials to keep ready the head office of his department at Erra Manzil area by June 2. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will inaugurate the building before the commencement of statehood celebrations, he said.
During a high-level review meeting at Secretariat here, Tummala directed the officials to develop Hyderabad and Nagarjuna Sagar stretch on national level by planting three types of saplings, including Banyan, Peepal and Tamarind type and those of flowers and fruits. He said the State government will have a direct meeting with land owners before acquiring their lands for the works at rural areas. The Minister directed the officials to expedite the process of tenders and complete the works related to Godavari Pushkaralu on a priority basis.
Reprimanding the officials for the tardy pace of works of buildings, roads and bridges at several areas in the State, Tummala said they must be completed on priority basis. Directing the officials at field level to make use of the media and social media to enable the people know the progress of the works, he said the government was committed to provide better road connectivity to the people. He also asked them to prepare a plan of action to complete the works related to bridges of big and small size to enable the people get better connectivity. For this, the officials should coordinate on estimation of works, deadline, tenders process and use of funds to balance for roads and bridges connecting the rural areas, he added. (NSS).
