The High Court has given green signal for land acquisition to the Telangana State government.
On Tuesday, delivering its verdict, the High Court said the government should not acquire land forcefully. The court also made it clear that the victims have to file a petition in the Court in this regard but not political parties. If it was done, the High Court will not accept the petition for trial, it announced.
The State government submitted G.O.No.190 meant for rehabilitation for displaced people to the Court on Tuesday by making small changes in the G.O. Responding on it, the High Court directed the State government not to evict the people till rehabilitation works were implemented. At the same time, the High Court has given permission to the State government to purchase the lands for the sake of NIMZ. (NSS)
