Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman of A.P. Minorities Commission rejected the proposal of offering a substitute for the land occupied by Lanco Hills. Talking to newsmen he said that the Central Wakf Council had proposed that A.P. State Wakf Board to accept another land as a substitute for the Wakf Land allotted to Lanco Hills. This proposal was presented to Dargah Committee which rejected it. According to Committee the matter is pending in Supreme Court. It has been established that it is a wakf land and therefore Lanco Hills should treat itself as a tenant instead of claiming its ownership.
Mr. Abid Rasool Khan told that there are indications that the case may be decided by the Supreme Court in favour of A.P. State Wakf Board.
