(Siasat News) Senior TDP leader and MLC Mr. Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Masqati lamented on malfunctioning of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare. He told that with the declaration of separate state of Telangana many departments have been effected but the maximum damage has been caused to Dept. of Minorities Welfare. Since the Minister of Minorities Welfare belongs to Seema Andhra Region, his interest in Minorities affairs has been reduced and as a result of it the developmental activities have seized.
Mr. Masqati criticized the Govt. that it is not taking any interest in the welfare activities of Minorities. There is no officer either in Minorities Finance Corporation or Commissionarate of Wakf. In the Wakf Board also work is being extracted from temporary employees. Govt. is also not taking interest in the functioning of Minorities Finance Corporation and Urdu Academy. It is avoiding to constitute the Haj Committee. He demanded the Minister of Minorities Welfare that instead of campaigning in favour of integrated A.P. he should concentrate on the welfare schemes of Minorities. He also blamed the Central Govt. that its decision to bifurcate the state as resulted in the implementation of developmental schemes for Minorities.
