Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, who recently underwent cardiac surgeries, was on Saturday discharged from Asian Heart Hospital in Mumbai.
Lalu, after undergoing three major successful heart surgeries and rehabilitation programme last month, was discharged from the hospital at around 3 pm today, a hospital statement said.
The former Bihar Chief Minister had been diagnosed with ‘aortic stenosis’, following which he underwent three heart surgeries on August 27. The surgeries were done to replace the aortic valve, repair the aortic and a three millimetre hole in his heart, according to the doctors.
The 66-year-old RJD leader was operated at the Institute by a team of 20 doctors under the supervision of Dr Ramakanta Panda.
