RJD President Lalu Prasad, who was granted bail by the Supreme Court in a fodder scam case, is likely to be released from jail on Monday.
“Papers from Supreme Court did not reach the lower court yesterday. We expect the court will get the papers on Monday and it will take only half an hour to complete the bail bond and other court work,” Prasad’s advocate Prabhat Kumar said today.
Lalu had earlier got bail in four other fodder scam cases, in which he was concurrently in judicial custody after he was convicted by a special CBI court in a fodder scam case on September 30, he said.
The apex court had yesterday granted bail to the RJD chief in the fodder scam case pertaining to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 37.7 crore from the Chaibasa Treasury during his tenure as chief minister.
