Lalu ‘glorifying’ corruption, says Sushil Modi

Patna, Oct. 15 : Bihar’s former deputy chief minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday said Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav is trying to glorify corruption and crime by saying life is not complete without going to jail.

“Lalu Prasad Yadav is trying to glorify corruption and crime. He is saying that life is incomplete without going to jail. He hasn’t gone to jail for some freedom struggle but for fodder scam. He is encouraging the people to go to jail,” said Modi.

Questioning Yadav over comparing a gurudwara with a jail, Modi asked, “Does he have courage to compare jail with Mosque or Mecca?”

Speaking at a political rally in Bhabhua on Wednesday, Lalu urged those attending his rally to aim for being sent to jail at least once in their lifetime because life was worthless without it. (ANI)
