Congress MLA from Medchal K Lakshma Reddy on Thursday denied the reports that he was planning to quit the Congress party.
Speaking to media persons here, Lakshma Reddy alleged that one particular news channel, which is owned by TRS leaders, has been playing a wrong news item that he was planning to quit Congress to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Condemning the news channel, he alleged that such a misleading report was being aired only to distort his image among the people. He informed that he would lodge a complaint against the news channel before the Election Commission of India for carrying out baseless information.
Lakshma Reddy accused the TRS of resorting to cheap tactics to demoralise and confuse the Congress cadre. However, he said that the TRS would not be successful in its aim and Congress workers would launch an aggressive campaign in entire Ranga Reddy district to take the party’s message to the people.
