Hyderabad, January 29: It is only a presumption that Urdu is vanishing. Some politicians express such thoughts to make their speeches attractive. They are unaware of realities. Urdu is not only alive but owing to its linguistic status and literary genres, it is spreading throughout the world.
Siasat imparted education of Urdu to nearly twelve lakh persons through its Urdu examinations. Many candidates have obtained graduation degrees and also got Ph.D. degrees after passing Urdu Fazil examination.
The readership of printed newspaper of Siasat and its e-paper edition in 187 countries and in 5995 cities of the world has crossed 8,76,475 persons. This year in the book fair in Mumbai, Urdu books were more in demand.
Zahid Ali Khan’s book “Andaaz-e-Bayan Aur” was sold out on the first day itself. Shahr-e-Nigaran (Ajaz Farukh) and Glimpses of the Nizam’s Dominion are also selling well.
