Hyderabad, June 30: Declaring the Privilege Motion against him by elected representatives from Telangana as ridiculous, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Wednesday scoffed that this act is tantamount to appealing in high court against a Supreme Court judge.
Hyderabad is a free zone and it will not be allowed to revoke Clause 14 F of the Presidential Order, he claimed.
He asserted that it is not obligatory for the central government to accept resolution passed in the assembly. With the announcement of Telangana formation on December 9, 2009 the condition for passing a resolution in assembly was set, when the resolution itself is not passed in the assembly the question of forming separate Telangana state does not arise. “Had a resolution on Telangana been introduced in the House, about 225 members would have opposed it,” Mr Rajagopal said.
