Local MP Lagadapati Rajagopal today created sensation by trying to meet TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who was on his ‘Vasthunna Meekosam’ padayatra here.
Tension prevailed when the police and TDP activists obstructed Lagadapati, who rushed towards Chandrababu Naidu from BRTS Road at Budameru Bridge. Consequently, vehicular traffic came to a halt for sometime due the huge rally of students along with Lagadapati. The police detained Lagadapati and brought the situation under control.
Lagadapati pleaded with the police that he would submit a memorandum to Chandrababu Naidu asking him to change his decision on Telangana issue. The TDP leaders bluntly told Lagadapati that Naidu was not interested to meet him. However, Lagadapati tried to meet Chandrababu Naidu by rushing towards the latter. Expressing disgust over arrogant behavior of Lagadapati, TDP MLA Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao described Lagadapati as a political broker and a “mad fellow”. He sarcastically dubbed Lagadapati as a ‘Six Pack Rajagopal’. (NSS)
