Lagadapati got ticket by giving money to YSR: Palvai

Congress Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy charged the Vijayawada Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal of speaking like an insane person.

Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he said how could Rajagopal who bought his ticket by giving money to the late Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would understand the problems of the people. He has declared that there was no need for a resolution by the Assembly for creating Telangana.

He reminded that even a strong leadser like Indira Gandhi could not suppress the Telangana movement.

Referring to the threat of the Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao that he would resign, Palvai said he made that threat several times in the past. He said if Telangana was created, a package should be given to the Andhra region.

Palvai once again lashed at his political rivals MLA Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and MP Rajagopal Reddy. He said the two only brought 400 people for the recent Telangana Sadhana Sabha and sarcastically said they however erected massive cutouts with the public money they had plundered. He also said that it would be for the good of the TRS if it merged in the Congress.
