Lagadapati faults KCR on free zone

Hyderabad, October 29: Congress leader and Vijayawda MP Lagadapati Rajagopal today maintained there was “no controversy’’ over the Supreme Court judgment on Hyderabad as a “free zone’’, and criticised TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao for “politicising the issue for his own political benefit’’.

Speaking to reporters here today he said there was “no necessity’’ for the Government to file a review petition on the Supreme Court judgment.

Praising Chief Minister K Rosaiah, he said the latter was furthering the late Rajasekhara Reddy’s aims and objectives.

As for the suggestion by several MPs and MLAs that Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy be made chief minister, he said they were only taking note of the people’s feelings, and that he too would “convey his feelings’’ should the Congress High Command seek his opinion.
