The local Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has said that he had received strong indications that the Union government was totally against bifurcation of the State.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, Lagadapati said Andhra Pradesh would never be divided. Asserting that the “Telugu Nadu” will remain united under any circumstances, Lagadapati said he received strong indications to that effect.
He said the Telangana and United Andhra issues would not be discussed in the ensuing regional Congress convention to be held in the city as the meeting was not meant for discussing regional issues but the State and Central governments.
Asserting that land and water of Telugus would not be divided, he allayed fears of the people about the imminent division of the State. The issue has become very clear that division of the State was impossible and those who did not know about it should relax, he added.
