Hyderabad City Committee of All India Demcoratic Women’s Association organized a protest meeting act Purana Pul crossroads. The women assembled there and burnt the symbolic effigy of Govt. of India.
President of the Association, Ms. Asha Latha heavily criticized the step taken by the Central Govt. for limiting the subsidized LPG cylinders to six in a year.
She told that women of middle class would be mostly affected with this move. She told that limiting the number LPG cylinders and diesel price hike are the acts of injustice. She demanded the Central Govt. to withdraw these decisions.
Ms. D. Meena, Ms. T. Rani Bai, Ms. K. Shashikala, Ms. Naseema Begum, Ms. Shanna Bai, Ms. Suneetha and other women participated in the agitation.
