Lack of road connectivity, man dies on ‘cot ambulance’

Bhupalpally: M. Jogaiah, belonging to Gothi koya tribe died on Sunday due to high fever. His family members took him to nearby hospital on ‘cot ambulance’ and walked for 5 km due to lack of road connectivity and no proper transportation links. But their efforts went in vain as Jogaiah died on the way. Doctors told that if the patient was brought early, he would have survived. The family blamed the government due to improper connectivity.
However, ITDA project officer V Chakradhar Rao claimed that all tribal hamlets are well connected and that health centres are accessible. He also said that “we will probe the incident.”
