A series of injustices has been continuing for the past so many years against Dalits,Backward classes and other depressed sections of the society. During the Mughal period, neglecting Dalits and BC’s,members of Higher castes were made officials.Hyderabad was the only state which provided equal opportunities to these people right from the Qutub Shahis to the Asif Jahi kings. This is the reason the state of Hyderabad was termed as the Ambassador of Ganga-Jamuna Civilization. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Zahed Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing a joint meeting of BC’s and Minority Committee Employees Federation and Bharat Mukti Morcha at Mehboob Hussein Jigar Hall in Siasat office Yesterday. Revolutionary poet Mr Gaddar,Mr Kumar Kaale,General Secretary of Bharat Mukti Morcha,Dr.Vinay,Chairman Samajhika Adhikarapurata-Samitee and Prof Anwar Khan,Convenor of SC’s,ST’s,BC’s and Muslims Front also addressed the gathering,Maulna Hussein Shaheed conducted the meeting.
Continuing his speech,Mr Zahed Ali Khan told there is no leadership which could unite the Muslims and all other Backward classes including the Dalits.The meager representation of these sections of the society in AP Assembly, disproportionate to their percentage of the population itself is an evidence that these communities are being exploited.He pointed out that according to the population,the number of Muslim representatives in the assembly should have been 33 but it is restricted to only 11 members.He applauded the efforts of BC’s and Minorities Employees Federation and Bharat Mukti Morcha for uniting Muslims and other Depressed classes. He said that any movement emerging from Hyd turns into a revolution.He told that the Muslims of Hyd are always prepared to embrace Dalits and other BC’s.It needs a initiative and he welcomes any such action from any corner.
He expressed his support for all such endeavours.Mr VL Matung told that Dalits and BC’s are not part of Hindu Religion but 3% of the dominant Hindu group include them in their community. He told that Dalits,Muslims are facing similar problems.United efforts are required to resolve these problems. The Federation and the Mukti Morcha have planned to organize Dalits and Muslims conventions across the country. The first convention is being organized in Hyd very soon. Referring to the false implication of Muslim youths in terrorist activities, he said that a Muslim can’t be terrorist. He further told that any Muslim cant plant a bomb in any mosque, but they were wrongly accused in the Bomb blasts that occurred in Mecca Masjid,Ajmer and Malegaon.Later it was revealed that Swami Aseemanand,Sadhiv Pragya Singh ,Colonel Purohit,Sunil Joshi and Rajiv Mishra were involved in these incidents.
He told that it was the conspiracy of the higher caste Hindus to wrongly implicate the Muslims. He said that it is essential that the Muslims,Dalits and BC’s should come together to eradicate such conspiracies.Dr.Vinay told that the Governments announced separate sub plans for BC’s and Saccchar Commmittee and Raghunath Mishra Commissions to capture the vote of Dalits and Muslims,but after getting their votes, these reports accumulate dust in the library shelves. He expressed the need to unite all these communities.Mr Gaddar applauded this initiative to bring SC’s and ST’s and Muslims together.He suggested that a Hostel should be setup in which the students of all the weaker sections are put together so that they know each other.Pujari Narsingh Rao,CL Yadagiri,Sanaullah Khan,Hayat Hussein Habeeb,Shamshad Quadri,Anwar Patel,Yuni Akibani,Muniruddin Mujahed,Azharduddin,Khaled Rasool Khan and hundreds of leaders from various welfare organizations of Dalits and Muslims participated in the consultive meetings.
