Under prime minister’s 15 point programme it is obligatory to deploy Muslim police officials in Muslim predominant areas. However due to lack of interest and educational backwardness among Muslim candidates it has become impossible. Highly placed police sources claim that if you ensure supply of promising and talented candidates then I will make sure that Andhra Pradesh leads in implementation of 15 point programme.
The official says that youngsters of minority community are less aware of the importance of government services and lack interest in them. According to a study there is considerable number of candidates who pass engineering every year however most of the Muslim youth head for foreign countries this creates a void, while educational backwardness and lack of interest set hurdles in recruitments of other categories of police jobs.
