Karimnagar, August 17 (Siasat News): “To reach the top of the world and to gain a special place in society, it is necessary for Muslims to pay extra attention towards education and forget all sectarian differences.”
These were the words of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, editor Siasat at a function organized at Muslim shaadikhana on the topic of ‘Community’s welfare’. He expressed his unhappiness over the evil of dowry among the Muslim youths because of this at least 30000 girls in Hyderabad alone are not in a position to get married even after reaching the age of marriage.
He said that Siasat and MDF had jointly started a movement for the marriages of Muslim boys and girls as Du-Badu and due to this programme; many educated Muslim girls had approached them.
He categorically said that Muslims are spending lavishly just to foot the bill of function halls and dinner comprising of various dishes. That is why he has resolved to attend only those marriage functions where ‘wealth show’ is avoided. He also said that he would attend the marriages of wealthy people only on one condition that they will have to donate Rs. 5000 to Millat fund.
During his election campaign, he had visited many places in old city and he was shocked to see the poverty of the people where 10-15 people are compelled to live in single room.
Then too, they maintain their self-respect and do not beg anything from anyone. Not only this, the poverty-ridden children don’t go to school at all. He suggested the people that during any election, it is their duty to vote according to the caliber of a person and not party.
Vote to power only those candidates who are sincere enough to eradicate their basic problems and are available all the time. It is because of the lack of education and unity; other communities are scoring over Muslims.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan appreciated the efforts of ‘Khadiman-e-Millat’ society and said that it is doing a great job for the burial of unclaimed Muslim dead bodies on state level. He said that even Siasat had undertaken the burial work almost 600 unclaimed Muslims dead bodies.
Funding the marriages of economically backward Muslim girls, providing scholarships to the needy are other social works of Siasat. Mr. Khan announced that under the aegis of Siasat, a grand function of Khadiman-e-Millat would be conducted in Hyderabad in near future.
Earlier, the function was commenced with Qir’at of Maulana Hafiz Mohd. Omar Kurnooli and Mr. Syed Moizuddin recited the naat. Mr. Zafar Javed also addressed the gathering. It was presided over by Maulana Md. Barkatullah Khan Qasimi and compered by Hafiz and Qari Ahmed Manqabat Shah.
