Raigarh, April 14: A labourer allegedly burnt his wife alive in an inebriated state in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district, police said today.
Mahangu Ansari poured kerosene on his wife Radhabai and set her ablaze at Jelpara last night after an argument over some domestic issue, they said.
Ansari suffered 25 per cent burn injures when Radhabai clung to him. The couple originally hailed from Bihar and came to Raigarh recently.
Ansari has been arrested on the basis of a statement given by Radhabai before she died, they added.
