Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana falls into trouble, faces objection from VHP Mumbai

Mumbai: Upcoming film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana falls into trouble, as the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) supporters raised the objection on Monday saying the scenes in the movie hurts the Hindu community’s sentiments.

Around 70-80 VHP supporters protested outside film producer T.P. Aggarwal’s office holding placards and shouting slogans. They demanded to edit the scene of a heavily pregnant woman who is getting married to a man who has got nothing to do with the baby in her womb.

According to VHP, the scene is against the Hindu culture. But the makers Aggarwal stood has refused to comply with the unruly demands

He said he won’t make any edits in the film as it has been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

“This morning around 70-80 people of VHP came and protested outside my office. They said how you can show a pregnant woman getting married in the film.

Aggarwal added. “They created a lot of noise outside my office. Later, the police intervened, and the police have assured me that it won’t happen again.”

“It’s a family entertainer without any double-meaning jokes or abusive language. It’s completely, how a few people start opposing a few days before the release of a film and ask for special screening,” Aggarwal said.

The film producer who is also the President of the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association, said: “It’s not a crime. That’s why I asked them to show me where it is written that a pregnant woman can’t marry. They asked me, ‘Will you allow such a girl to marry if she was your daughter?’ I have received a U/A certificate from CBFC for my film without any cuts. Why should I make changes?”

The movie is directed by Manish Harishankar all set to release on April 7. It features Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan and Kamal Haasan’s daughter Akshara, Gurmeet Choudhary, Kavitta Verma, Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra, Darshan Jariwala, Ravi Kishan, Suhasini Mulay, Navni Parihar, Kishori Shahane, Jyoti Kalsh and Ehsan Khan.
