Hyderabad, November 28: Rajya Sabha MP K V P Ramachandra Rao tonight stepped down as advisor to the Andhra Pradesh Government, minutes after new Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy sought the resignation of advisors appointed by late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Kiran Reddy announced in New Delhi that he would ask state Chief Secretary S V Prasad to seek the resignation of the advisors, whose role have been highly controversial in the last six years, at least two of them sent in their resignations.
Rao, YSR’s Man Friday, was the first to tender his resignation from the post of honorary chairman of the Committee on Public Safety and Security.
