Washington: The White House said Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will visit Washington on Sept 12.
According to a statement released on Friday, the visit will further strengthen the substantial economic and security ties between the two countries, and leaders of both countries are expected to discuss regional developments, bilateral security cooperation, and counter-terrorism issues, Xinhua news agency reported.
The visit came amid high tensions between the United States and Iran in the Middle East. Kuwait has pledged its efforts to help stabilize the region.
