Brasilta, April 09: Kuwaiti Ambassador to Brazil Yousif Ahmad Abdulsamad met here with Chairman of the Brazilian Commission of External Affairs and National Security, Carlos Alberto Liria, holding talks on boosting diplomatic relations.
the ambassador said the meeting was quite fruitful, and that he, along with the leading Brazilian legislator, affirmed necessity of activating mutual cooperation at the diplomatic and popular levels between the two friendly countries.
He lauded the role played by the members of the Brazilian and Kuwaiti legislatures in strengthening bilateral relations and diplomatic efforts, as backup for the official efforts, exerted by the Kuwaiti and Brazilian governments in this respect.
Moreover, the two sides discussed formation of joint parliamentary friendship committees to exchange visits of parliamentary delegations, discuss regional and international issues and coordinate stances in preparation for international parliamentary forums.
