Kurnool to host two-day Indian Performing Arts Show 2017

A two-day “The Indian Performing Arts Show 2017” will be held on 17th and 18th December at the Kurnool Indoor and Ourdoor Stadium in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference here today, D. Ramchandram, representative of event implementing company said that the two day festival features Shivamani, nationally renowned sitarist Ravi Chary and Sangeet Haldipur, popular Bollywood music composer and singer.

The press conference was supposed to be addressed by AP’s Tourism Minister Akhila Priya, APTDC MD Himanshu Shukla and Tourism and Culture Secretary Mukesh Kumar Menon. But they couldn’t make due to some pressing engagements. The festival is organized by Ministry of Tourism, Govt of Andhra Pradesh.

In their absence, speaking to the media in Vijayawada Tuesday evening, Ramchandram said, a folk performance group. Sambalpuri from Orissa would also specially perform. National level performances like Prince Dance Group, India Got Talent fame would also be part of the event.

Minister Akhila Priya will formally inaugurate the event in the event along with famous comedian who is yet to be confirmed. The day long events will be inaugurated by the Collector of Kurnool. The objective of the festival was to promote a variety of performing arts, local and national talent and promote art and culture through this event. It will be a non ticketed event and entry for the same is free. The expected footprint for both days put together will be about 10,000, Ramchandram said. (INN)
