Kubica’s health has worsened, fiancee says

Warsaw, February 14: Injured Formula One racer Robert Kubica’s health has worsened and the racer will need to stay longer in intensive care, broadcaster TVN 24 reported Monday citing Kubica’s fiancee Edyta.

“His state has somewhat worsened, both in regards to his physical and psychological state,” said Edyta, whose last name was not given.

Kubica is recovering in a hospital following serious injuries in a rally crash.

Kubica has been removed from the intensive care unit at Santa Corona Hospital, 35 miles south-west of Genoa, where he has been treated since crashing his Skoda Fabia during the Ronde di Andora rally last Friday.

The 26-year-old Pole partially severed his right hand in the accident as well as suffering several fractures. Doctors have said he could take a year to recover.
