IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today wooed a US delegation to invest in Telangana and partner with its growth.
A delegation of six States of the US today called on the minister and discussed on sectors of common interests and investment opportunities in the State. Delaware State Governor Jack Merkel led the team and held discussions with the minister. KTR stated that during his recent US tour several industries and companies assured to invest in Telangana in Pharma, Bio-Sciences and Aerospace sectors. He gave a power point presentation to the US delegation and informed about Telangana clinching No. 1 position at national level in ease of doing business, the new IT policy, permissions to industries in two weeks and facilities for new industries, companies to rope in and chances to expand.
KTR said about his plan to set up a State desk and T-Bridge in the US to expand in innovation sector, also start ups and skill development plan. Seeking to know about facilities and infrastructure in towns and cities, KTR asked the team to invest in such sectors and partner with Telangana growth process.
Merkel informed that they are trying to take up a program like T-Bridge in coordination with Germany and promised to look into having sub-national agreements with Telangana in chosen sectors. Industries Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan were present. (NSS)
