Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao will visit the national capital New Delhi on Thursday to seek Central assistance for rain and flood affected areas of Telangana.
KTR will be meeting Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday to discuss various issues including the damages caused due to recent heavy rains. The minister had directed Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department Principal Secretary M.G. Gopal to prepare a detailed report on damages so as to submit the same to the centre.
The minister is also likely to meet other union ministers seeking funds for various projects. He will also participate in the Swach Bharat Conference which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Telangana is likely to get Rs. 10.73 crore under Amrut Project as 12 towns in the State have been included in the list of Amrut Cities by the Centre. (INN)
