Handlooms & Textiles Minister KT Ramarao today said the Sate government will set up two corporations in the State for development of handloom industry in the State.
Participating in the meeting of Handlooms & Textiles Ministers of all States held here on Thursday, KTR said the Telangana State government was the first in the country giving subsidized yarn to the weavers. He said the State government was giving unique code to handlooms wherever they were in the State. He said he requested the Centre to give Health and Life Insurance to the handloom workers. He also urged the Centre to create handloom clusters in Telangana State. (NSS)
