Panchayat Raj and IT Minister of Telangana KT Rama Rao today urged the Centre to release adequate funds for the state towards rural development programmes. KTR called on Union Rural Development Minister Birendra Singh in Delhi and discussed with him on various issues and sought his support for developing the backward districts in the state.
He met Singh along with TRS MPs Jithender Reddy, Vishweshwar Reddy and Sitharam Naik. KTR urged the Central minister to allot suitable funds for the development of backward districts in the state of Telangana. He also apprised Singh of welfare schemes, development programs and projects besides the flagship programs such as Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha and other welfare schemes. It is said that the Panchayat Raj minister also presented Singh a report on the funds sought for various programmes.(NSS)
