KTR seeks Jaitley, Nirmala help to set up Textile Park in Warangal

Industries and IT Minister of Telangana KT Rama Rao today stated that a mega textile park will be launched in Warangal city.

He was talking to mediapersons in Delhi after a meeting with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and seeking help for the textile park and keep the promises of AP Reorganisation Act. KTR stated that the State government was planning to set up a textile park and urged the Centre to bring out a policy for it. “We have apprised Jaitley of the problems arising out of GST implementation across the nation”, he said. The GST will have adverse effect on Telugu film industry on payment of uniform tax slab. Film industry was paying 7% tax for short films and 14% for major films and uniform tax will hamper the film production interests in the State, he informed Jaitley.

KTR also stated that the infant State has become No. 1 in Ease of Doing Business and providing best facilities to investors. He also called on Union Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and sought cooperation to improve infrastructural facilities in the city to enable the investors and companies to rope into the State.
