Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao has praised the efforts of entire GHMC team in making elaborate arrangements for the Bathukamma festival.
The minister, after inspecting the works, said that the GHMC officials led by Commissioner Somesh Kumar have come up with good designs within a span of just nine days. He said that the GHMC has taken up the works on war footing basis and the entire environment in and around the Rotary Park has been changed tremendously with greenery, streetlights, sanitation, Ghat works, etc.,
GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said that for Bathukamma festival the GHMC has taken up lot of works in and around Rotary Park. About 251 meters of Ghat with 8 feet width has been constructed for the convenience of citizens. He hoped that the Rotary Park would become a major tourist attraction after the Bathukamma festival.
