Telangana Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K Taraka Rama Rao on Saturday lauded the efforts of GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar and his team of officials, who worked hard round-the-clock for making arrangements for Bathukamma festival.
Speaking to mediapersons, KTR said, “It is really amazing and GHMC has proved that they can do wonders for beautifying the City”. He said just in nine days such type of works with good designs is not possible but GHMC officials under the dynamic leadership of Somesh Kumar carried out the works on a war-footing and changed the entire environment in and around the Rotary Park tremendously with good greenery. The arrangement of streetlights, sanitation, Ghat works are worth praising, he added.
Somesh Kumar said the GHMC has taken up the works in and around Rotary Park for Bathukamma festival. About 251 meter Ghat with 8 feet width was constructed for the convenience of the citizens with good plantation and greenery on either side of the Ghat. The Commissioner said the people even after the Bathukamma festival would like to visit the place as the environment is very neat with greenery and it is also a good attraction spot for the Tourists.
