KTR, Mahender Reddy launch reservoirs

Participating in some development programs in the city, Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today inaugurated a first AC Bus Shelter, first of its kind in the country, at Shilparamam near Hitec City here.

As part of transforming Hyderabad into a global city, efforts are being made towards that end, he claimed. The AC Bus shelter will offer some reprieve to people coming for bus facility like mobile charging units, drinking water facilities, Wi-Fi, ATM and toilets, apart from being air-conditioned.

The Minister, who launched a Luxury Cafe and a wash room nearby has appreciated GHMC for providing AC Bus Shelter facility to the commuters. The minister also launched several drinking water reservoirs in the city along with Transpot Minister P Mahender Reddy, Mayor B Rammohan, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and officials. The reservoirs built include at Ayyappa Society constructed spending Rs 6.8 cr, at Doyens Colony in Serilingampally segment spending Rs 12.10 cr with 8.0 million liters, and spent Rs 4.68 cr for reservoir with 3 million liters capacity. He also said that launched a water body of 3.5 million liters at Hydernagar, 14 million liters capacity water tank at Huda Park. MLA A Gandhi, MP Vishweshwar Reddy and others present. (NSS)
