During his two-hour meeting with Softbank COO Nikesh Arora in the US, Telangana IT and Industries Minister K Tarakarama Rao urged the former to invest in Telangana State and boost its economy.
In a one-to-one meeting with Nikesh Arora, who is the highest paid official with $135 millions pay, KTR explained about the new industrial policy, its innovativeness and especialty of giving all permissions in 15 days to industries and companies to invest and set up shop. When KTR informed that a new industrial policy was being implemented with transparency besides offering self certification option, Arora gave some points to improve the State policy to surpass others by giving industrial permissions.
KTR also apprised the Soft Bank chief of various prestigious projects of the State and discussed on T hub encouraging entrepreneurs and startups to come up with innovative ideas. Telangana introduced IT and innovation policies giving boost to existing companies and new ones in IT and related sectors also entrepreneurs in innovation sector to research and explore, he said. The minister apprised Arora of investment opportunities in various sectors in Telangana and asked him to invest. Softbank has pumped in money as investment in multiple sectors such as telecommunications, media and finance, broadband and internet services. Expressing content at the meeting KTR said several business and industry honchos evinced interest to invest in Telangana besides adopting a few points of Telangana industrial policy.
