Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao launched the program and unveiled an information brochure in a special function held on Wednesday at Tech Mahindra Auditorium, Hi-Tech City Phase-II, Madhapur.
Addressing the gathering immediately after it’s launch, he described it as wonderful initiative. We need to go green in all aspects, and not just five areas identified under this program. GIZ has ten years of work experience, They worked with 35 industrial Parks around Hyderabad he informed.
Speaking further he stated that German Government has already pledged a support of Rs 10crore grant to GIZ to study, adapt and implement climate changes and impacts on these parks.
To encourage more IT parks go for Retrofitting, Telangana Government announced a fund of Rs 5 Lakh as incentive to each IT park to appoint a consultant or an expert to advise them on Retrofitting.
Cyberabad has 124 buildings and we will see to it that all these buildings are retrofitted so as to make them accessible to physically challenged people.
Currently three hundred IT employees are commuting to their workplaces on their bicycles. We want to encourage Cycle to work concept. We will see to it that this three hundred number will increase to 2000 in next one year. Our vision is to see that nearly 25% of IT workforce bicycle to their workplace.
Hyderabad can boast of an excellent outer ring road. It is the wish of bicycling lovers and community in the city that a bicycle track is constructed along the lines of adjacent service road to this ring road. So that city can host some international Cycling events. We are looking into this if that is possible, KTR informed.

Our endeavour is to see that Telangana is not just developed industrially but also environmentally improves. It is the wish of our Chief Minister that 200crore saplings are planted across Telangana state in next one year,” informed KTR.
