Minister for Information Technology K T Rama Rao today launched Celkon Manufucturing Company at Industrial area in Medchal district.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said he was proud to inaugurate the cell phone manufacturing company, which is just a beginning. He also said many big companies like Micromax and other noted companies are evincing keen interest to make huge investments in Telangana State. Appealing to the company to expand its operations, KTR exuded confidence that many popular companies of international repute are roping in with investments in Telangana State, which came up with the first-of-its kind new industrial policy to promote “Make in Telangana” brand as part of “Make in India” program.
Though mobiles worth over Rs 100 crore were being manufactured in India, there are only a few companies in the country, he said and stressed the need for more such companies in the State. The government is committed to provide all facilities to the startups, entrepreneurs and big companies, he said. With the companies coming here to launch their activities, the job opportunities would improve automatically, he said and exuded confidence that Telangana State would become a No. 1 State in the industrial sector in the near future.
