KTR launches Amazon — T favors investments

Minister for IT, KT Rama Rao today said that Telangana is a favourable destination for investments.

Inaugurating Amazon Fulfillment Center at Penjrala in Kothur Mandal near Hyderabad, the minister said that the new company will offer at least employment to 500 people in the city. KTR also exuded confidence that the fulfillment center will provide employment opportunities by giving priority to local talent. He also said that the Government urged the Amazon Company to open its Cloud Center and invest more funds in Hyderabad.

The State Government is coming up with an ambitious new industrial policy on June 12. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will unveil the policy in the presence of as many as 2000 industrial bigwigs, business honchos, companies and others. KCR will share his ideas with them to polish up the policy enabling them to hassle free permissions, Rama Rao said.

Claiming that the government has given permission to Amazon Company in just 10 days, KTR said that they are now focusing on promoting industries for creating more jobs. Stating that the nation has abundant workforce, the IT Minister said that the government will offer training and skills to the youth and graduates to enable them to become suitable to the companies they are joining for jobs. The new industrial policy sans corruption as the government is preferring transparent governance, he said. (NSS)
