Karimnagar, June 28 Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday said that the internal squabbling between Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders was the reason of the postponement of the Sircilla and Vemulawada Assembly by-elections.
Talking to media persons, Mr Prabhakar said that with more and more powers being given to KTR by the party, Harish Rao has become jealous. He said that it was due to this jealousy that Harish Rao had provided wrong information to the Election Commission, leading to the postponement of the by-polls.
Claiming that the Congress party had nothing to do with the putting off of the by-polls, Mr Prabhakar said that this strife between Harish Rao and KTR alone was the reason behind the postponement.
The Congress leader said that any party campaigning on the Telangana slogan would win the by-elections. He expressed confidence that the Congress will win.
