TDP leader V. Pratap Reddy on Friday stated that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders were engaged in a war for succession.
Speaking to media persons here, Pratap Reddy said that while KCR has been trying to promote his son and Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao as his successor, his son-in-law T. Harish Rao is lobbying hard to stake claim on party’s leadership. He said both KTR and Harish Rao were engaged in a cold war and the entire party has been divided into two groups.
The TDP leader said that the Chief Minister has appointed KTR to lay foundation stones for different projects in the city only to highlight him as his successor. He said forthcoming GHMC elections would prove to be a semi-final for KTR.
He also alleged that KCR has turned revenue-surplus Telangana into a bankrupt State with his ‘misrule’ during the last 18 months. (INN)
