KTR, Harish laud each other– Launch Medical Devices Park

Laying foundation stone for first of its kind Medical Devices Park at Sultanpur in Sanga Reddy district along with Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao here today, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has said that Hyderabad will soon become Medical Hub in the country.

Launching the new medical devises park is a  good omen as it will give ample scope for employment for local talent and get more recognition to the city in future. Being developed in 250 acres in first phase, the park can accommodate about 1000 production companies in the premises, he said. The production of medical devices locally will bring down the health expenditure for the people, he said adding that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is of the opinion that high end Technology is useless if it is not useful for the people.

The Government will hold talks with the investors and companies roping into the new medical devices park for providing jobs to the local talent, he said. Though 35 per cent of vaccines being produced in the country are  from Hyderabad,  we are largely relying on  other nations for importing about 75 per cent of medical devices,  he felt. However this problem will not continue with the launching of the new facility,  KTR stated. Telangana Government has inked a deal with China Medical City and Korea Medical Devices Park, he disclosed. In the three years of formation,  Telangana has been witnessing fast development and  rapid growth  with statehood spirit. The TRS Government has got accolades from various quarters for offering good governance KTR said. Harish  was trying to make Telangana flourish in various sectors like irrigation and others,  he added.

Harish Rao appreciated that all sectors are being developed with equal priority with persistent efforts of KCR and KTR. The biggest Medical Devices Park is likely to see Rs 50,000 crore of investments and provide about 3 lakh jobs. He asked the companies setting up their shops here to provide jobs to local people. Due to power supply shortage several companies closed down during the previous regime. However, the TRS Government under the  able leadership of KCR has overcome  the  power crisis. The companies and businesses of national and international importance coming to rope in with investments due to hassle free industrial policies in the state, he said. The credit for this significant change will go to KCR and KTR,  the minister remarked.(NSS)
