KTR favors national policy to boost housing sector

Industries and IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao today stressed the need for a national policy to boost the housing and construction industries across the country.

Addressing 13th national conference of Real Estate Development Council at Delhi, KTR said the new policy will cater to the growing needs of the people. He said programs should be taken up based on public demand and demand for experts in some sectors. “Our Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was keen on taking up similar programs”, he said, adding that priority will be given for the promotion of housing sector. He also said KCR has agreed to 31 of 40 demands of the real sector in a recently held meeting.

The conference will formulate guidelines for the new housing policy that will suit the needs, he said. The Industries Minister stated that Telangana Government has introduced TSIPASS scheme that is fetching investments in a big way. “With a focus on promoting industries, we came up with first of its kind industrial policy giving all permissions in two weeks”, the minister claimed.
